During my career I have continued to be rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas of teaching, learning and now management. Specialising in transforming failing departments into internal and nationally result beating departments as Head of Media, I have continued to deliver excellent teaching as well as department management.

I have developed my professional teaching and management skills through my posts, most significantly through the Outstanding Teachers Programme and my National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership. These qualifications have supported me to expertly use data to develop  highly effective and targeted teaching and learning strategies, a 'formula' for success for student achievement. 

Outside of school I have current film industry experience, producing an independent documentary for Universal Studios and winning recognised industry awards for university films and television commercials. This experience is utilised by bringing to students a creative, innovative and professional experience where the highest standards and expectations are met. Throughout my career I have coached students to create coursework that has consistently gained the best results in the UK for GCSE and A - Level. Many of my students are now enjoying careers in major media and film companies, Warner Bros, Sky Sports and Channel 4, to name but a few.
