At age 18, I took a gap year. A friend of mine said to  me, "I want to make a documentary about 'An American Werewolf in London'", my response was, "OK, you write it, I'll produce it".

Three years later I was standing in HMV buying my own DVD, a special edition re-release of the film, with the documentary I produced on the double disc. The film premiered at the 2009 Fright Fest at the Empire in London, as well as Tarantino's cinema (The New Beverly) in LA. I also managed to raise £800 at the London premiere for a local Croydon charity, Treetops nursery for Autistic and Downs Syndrome children.

This formulative experience inspired me to attend Westminster University to complete my Film and TV degree, and it has continually informed my approach to my professional teaching and media career.
