You're a wizard Harry!

Y9-Y13 took a tour of Harry Potter world in London! We visited the studios on 4th December 2019, where we had a studio tour, the opportunity to ride a broomstick, drink Butterbeer and walk around the actual sets. Next trip is set of Wednesday 9th December 2020 for Y9!

BBC Studio and Birmingham City Uni tour

Y11 and Y12 attended the Media and Film department trip to the BBC Studios and Birmingham City University on Monday 27th Jan 2020. The tour of the studios included seeing behind the scenes on real TV sets, as well as the broadcasting suite and technology room. We also took part in a personalised workshop, 'Real News, Fake News, where students investigated how 'deep fake technology' was used to create news stories.

Birmingham City University runs Film and Media production courses, boasting industry standard facilities, including TV studios and editing suites, we took a tour of the campus and had a 1:1 Q&A session with course staff and students. It was a fantastic opportunity to gain insight on how to move into a range of careers in the industry and get advice from industry professionals and further education tutors.
