THE TV INDUSTRY
The 'box', 'telley', 'baby-sitter' and even 'idiot box' are some of the words synonymous with the UK's love of Tv. We even have programmes where we watch other people, watching Tv! Since the television first burst into the homes of the UK in the 1950's we've been obsessed with the magical mechanical box, going so far now to use new digital technology such as smartphone apps so we can access our favourite shows anytime and on the go. The Tv industry made £291 billion in 2014, and is responsilbe for creating thousands of jobs for young people every year making it a very lucrative market place for innovation and new ideas.
With high production value Tv shows such as 'Game of Thrones' and 'True Detective' taking the TV market to a whole new level, there was never a more interesting, dynamic and exciting time to get involved in this ever developing industry. At Revolution Media we offer you many different ways to develop your experience in Tv, why not join Lytham Live or the BBC School report with Miss Kendrick to start your journalistic journey? See The Hub page for more detail. You could also start to contribute monthly blogs or vlogs here at the Revolution Media site, rule number one in Tv is to get yourself out there and be seen!
