The Lytham Factor

Ever wanted to get your song published on ITunes? Got a secret garage band that have a Christmas No 1 waiting to be unleashed? Well enter 'The Lytham Factor', a competition that will see your Christmas song reach number one! We also need people who are interested in becoming a PR team to make the competitor's music video, promotional campaign and start getting votes online.

The rules are as follows:

1. Submit your Christmas song (written and composed by you) to Miss Alford (this can be a band's song or individual)

Upload your song to Youtube or Vimeo, send the link to romola.alford-sancto@lythamhigh.lancs.sch.uk

2. You will then receive a PR team to make your music video and design your promotional campaign. Links to your campaign will be posted on The Hub's main page.

3. Your PR team will kick off their campaign and have two weeks to get as many likes on your page. The winners will be those with the most likes and will get their song published on ITunes as well as their video and winning campaign hosted on Revolution Media and LSA's main site.

If you're interested in being part of the campaign team, please email Miss Alford with your name, form/college and interest in the following roles (in order of preference):

  • Campaign director (responsible for organising the whole campaign)

  • Music video makers

  • Website designers
